Ross Maitland MSc-Sports Therapist

Ross Maitland MSc-Sports Therapist - Ross offers injury assessments to all muscles and joints, including the spine, for both sporting and non-sporting individuals.

Ross qualified from Teesside university in 2016 before returning home and starting up RDM Sports Therapy whilst continuing his studies at Glasgow University. Ross graduated from his MSc in September 2017 and now works as a Sports Therapist with the Clyde FC first team & Rehabilitation and Fitness Coach for the Thistle Weir Youth Academy.

“My passion for rehabilitation started from a young age. During my boys club career I was forever injured, and never provided with the standard of rehabilitation I needed to get back to full fitness. This drove me to pursue my career in rehabilitation, allowing me to provide individuals with the treatment I was never offered.

Injury assessment & treatment is a vital part of the sporting athlete in modern day sports. Not only is it important to treat the injury at hand, but to also establish the cause of the injury. Treating the cause ultimately prevents the injury from returning! I have gained a vast knowledge from my experience working with elite amateur runners, various athletics levels and footballers from a youth academy, amateur, semi-professional & professional level.”
